Ask the candidate

How would you present your findings and their significance? Summarise actual findings and limits; significant bleeding, instability or uncertainty needs urgent gynaecology assessment. For a retained condom, discuss pregnancy testing, emergency contraception and STI assessment according to timing/risk. For a retained tampon, explain symptoms of systemic illness/toxic shock and urgent assessment; pregnancy-related tissue is not an independent student removal procedure.

What would you do next, and why? Explain the important uncertainty, a relevant next assessment and when help is needed. State what you could not assess.
