#StEmlynsWILD

In 2023 we invite you to join is in beautiful Coniston to learn, connect, lead, and reconnect with our specialities and our teams.

#stemlynsWILD will bring together experts in resuscitation to learn in a unique setting that will challenge and recharge your clinical and emotional batteries.

Why are we doing this?

The last few years have been tough. A global pandemic combined with the structural challenges of working in clinical practice has challenged us all. It’s time for a reset and to do something different to celebrate the great work that we do and the teams that we work with. #stemlynsWILD was conceived as a conference that will bring like minded clinicians together to learn new skills and to then deliver them in a challenging setting that will test their leadership, teamwork and clinical skills.

The program

In camp day: This day will be based in a tented camp next to Coniston lake. Experts in hospital and pre-hospital resuscitation and rescue will share their knowledge with you. Our final program is in development but will include advanced airway, cardiac and trauma resuscitation skills and knowledge. You will be primarily learning in small groups throughout the day.

Hills day: Your team will complete an approximately 8-hour directed route around Coniston. This will be interspersed with a series of clinical and leadership scenarios which your team will be required to complete. The event scenarios and your teams overall approach to the tasks will be assessed with feedback.

Evenings: With an on-site bar, plenty of space and a wonderful English Summer (we hope), you will be able to share experiences and learning in a relaxed environment throughout your time with us.

A number of awards will be given based on the performance of teams across both days.

Families

We are very keen to support families, partners and significant others (including pets) at #stemlynsWILD. Families will be encouraged to join us, and there will be a co-located children’s events company suitable for primary school aged children. Older children and partners will be able to sample the delights of the Lake District and also join us for evening events.

Pricing and accommodation

We will announce costs soon. There will be a single price for all participants which we aim to keep as low as reasonable. We will also have access to free camping on site. For those on limited budgets we hope that you will be able to attend the event based on just the cost of the ticket and travel alone. We will encourage all participants to camp, but there will also be many local options at your own discretion.
