#stemlynsWILD will cover many of the generic and speciality competencies relating to any speciality/career dealing with critically ill/injured patients.
Although #stemlynsWILD is taking part in the Lake District it is not specifically a prehospital or wilderness conference. We are going there to learn and test generic skills in a challenging environment. We will be using the location, experience and opportunities that an immersive event in an unfamiliar environment offer. Hospital based clinicians should be assured that the activities and learning will be highly relevant to their practice. UK clinicians may find the following curriculum mapping useful when applying for study leave.

Dear HoS/TPD,
I am writing to ask for your support in attending the #stemlynsWILD conference in June 2023. The conference is aimed at clinicians involved in the care of the acutely unwell and injured patient.
I wish to attend in order to develop my leadership, resuscitation, team working, teaching and learning skills. I have enclosed a brief curriculum mapping table from the #stemlynsWILD website indicating several high level generic professional capabilities and speciality learning outcomes. The organisers have assured me that there is a strong emphasis on team working and leadership skills which also link to the outcomes of the EM leaders framework.
I believe that the event will help me to become a better leader, clinician and educator and would be delighted if you agree to request for time and financial support to attend.
Yours sincerely,
A clinician who want to make the world a better place.
